NEW DRIVER NUMBER REQUIREMENT

From March 31st 2025, the Government will introduce changes to the law requiring you to provide your driver number, and that of anyone else named on your policy, when you renew or incept a new business motor insurance policy.

All insurers and brokers will have to ensure they follow this step for all motor insurance policies issued from 31 March 2025. After that date they will be legally forbidden from issuing insurance to anyone who does not provide the necessary driver number information.

Please follow the below link to update your driver number and that of any already previously agreed named drivers on your policy as per your insurance schedule or alternatively please contact your broker and provide them with this information on or before your renewal date.

You should be able to generate a report identifying driver numbers that you have recorded on your back-office system. We can accept standard reports from, Applied Relay 360, Applied Comquote, Open GI. Alternatively, you can complete our online form.
